Firstly, the spacecraft missions to Mars are not termed 'satellites'. Most are sent to the surface (rovers or other robots) while other orbiters may orbit the planet for a period of time before moving on to explore elsewhere. An example would be Cassini, although this IS NOT a mars mission, it was actually sent to Saturn.
