I cannot find a specific Psalm that mentions the Messiah 'rising on the third day', however there are two that describe some of the event.

(Psalm 49:15) says: " However, God himself will redeem my soul from the hand of She′ol, For he will receive me." (Psalm 16:10) which prophecies: "For you will not leave my soul in She′ol. You will not allow your loyal one to see the pit."

A reference in the book of Jonah, however, talks about God appointing "a great fish to swallow Jo′nah, so that Jo′nah came to be in the inward parts of the fish three days and three nights" (Jonah 1:17) Jesus indicated that this was a prophecy regarding his death and resurrection.

(Luke 11:30) "For just as Jo′nah became a sign to the Nin′e·vites, in the same way will the Son of man be also to this generation".

(Matthew 16:4) "A wicked and adulterous generation keeps on seeking for a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jo′nah." With that he went away, leaving them behind."

(Matthew 12:40) "For just as Jo′nah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights."

(Matthew 16:21) " From that time forward Jesus Christ commenced showing his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the older men and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised up."

Did Jesus stay 72 hours in the tomb?

No. Jewish reckoning of time was inclusive - Friday (the day he died) was the first day, Saturday was the second, and Sunday ( the day he rose) was the third. He was in the tomb from before sunset on the Friday through until the early hours of Sunday morning. You may remember the When Jesus was speaking to his enemies he said to them ( And I paraphrase here) Even though you will destroy this temple, meaning his body, yet would he build it again in three days.

While the Bible records Jesus' resurrection as taking place on a Sunday, the exact day of the week may not align perfectly with our current calendar. The important aspect is the significance of the event itself rather than the specific day of the week.

How many days before anyone could touch Jesus after his resurrection?

A:This depends on the passage being read:In Matthew 28:9, the women touch Jesus, holding him by the feet, on the morning of his resurrection. Jesus allowed them to worship him thus.In John 20:17, Jesus says to Mary Magdalene, "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended ..." In this gospel, not only could Mary not touch Jesus, but no one could before he rose to heaven.Eight days later, still in John's Gospel at verse 20:27, Jesus forgets his earlier concern and tells Thomas to touch his wounds.
