The Good News is the messiah has come to save us. Jesus Christ laid down his life so you can have life in him. He will return and when he does everyone will know without a shadow of doubt that he is the Lord of lords and King of kings. He will come from the heavens and his light will be seen by everyone.

Isaiah has some prophecies of the messiah which most are fulfilled and some will be fulfilled when he returns and evil is eliminated. Revelations talks about his second coming which goes along the prophecies of Isaiah.

All the prophecies Jesus was to fulfill on earth he fulfilled and all the prophecies he will fulfill when he returns will be fulfilled.

Different religions and beliefs have varying beliefs about the role of the Messiah. In Christianity, it is believed that Jesus Christ will return to judge the living and the dead. In Judaism, the coming of the Messiah is associated with the establishment of peace and the recognition of God as the one and only god. In Islam, the return of Jesus (Isa) is linked to the defeat of the Antichrist and the establishment of a reign of justice and peace.

Why do the Old and New Testaments never refer to Jesus as the Messiah?

The word Messiah comes from the Hebrew word for 'anointed'. The word Christ is the Greek equivalent, again meaning 'anointed'. The Old Testament never mentions Jesus at all, so it therefore never calls him the Messiah. The New Testament was written entirely in Greek and does call Jesus the Christ, the Greek equivalent to the Messiah.
