Catholic AnswerThe only thing we know about St. Zachariah, the father of St. John the Bapist, is that he was an old man when St. John was born. Back in that day, an old man would have been anyone over 40, so we can safely put his birth back to the first century A.D., say around 40 B.C. or a little earlier, but we do not have a date in The Bible, which is our only source of information.
