The first letter was written to the church at Thessalonica to help them understand why Jesus had not returned and what they should look for. He showed them reasons to stay faithful in a hostile world. Paul wrote them again in 2 Thessalonians to try to clear up misunderstanding about the second coming and to encourage the church.

A:Ephesians 6:21 says that Paul sent this epistle with Tychicus, a beloved brother and minister.

However, the majority of New Testament scholars now say that Ephesians was actually written in Paul's name during the 80s of the first century, long after Paul's death, and contains material copied from another pseudepigraphical epistle Colossians. On this view, Ephesians was really intended as an encyclical and was never sent to the church at Ephesus, this merely being a claim intended to bolster the credibility of the Epistle to the Ephesians.
