A:

Apart from Jude, for whose death there are two conflicting accounts in The Bible, we do not really know how any of the disciples died. In every case, the traditions we have arose in the second century, with stories of terrible and gruesome deaths for each of the apostles, some of them suffering different deaths in different locations. The one exception was John, who tradition decided lived to an old age and died a natural death.

Information on the deaths of the 12 apostles primarily comes from early Christian traditions, historical writings, and accounts from the early Church fathers. These sources include texts such as the Acts of the Apostles, early Church documents, and writings by historians like Eusebius. While some details may vary between sources, these accounts collectively provide insights into the lives and deaths of the apostles.
