There are many verses in The Bible that talk about helping the poor. One example is Proverbs 19:17, which says, "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done." Another example is Matthew 25:35-36, where Jesus says, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."
