The Bible does not say that King Solomon had a flying carpet.
I don't think anybody- because Solomon was a man of God in the Christan Bible, and flying carpets don't exist.
There is no mention of flying carpets in the Hebrew Bible (including the Torah). But there is a midrash in Judaism that has a reference to King Solomon's flying carpet: The Midrash brings a beautiful story about how King Solomon went traveling with his entourage on a flying carpet and, on landing, squashed many ants. Bending down to listen to the queen of the ants' complaint, the king was deeply chastised on hearing that everything in creation has something teach us, including even the humble little ant. The Christian Bible does not mention a flying carpet in any portion. The Qur'an does not explicitly make mention of a flying carpet. The closest it comes is in Sura 21:81 where it says: "And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind, blowing forcefully, proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And We are ever, of all things, Knowing." Islamic tradition (the Sunna) has expounded on this "forcefully blowing wind", most notably with scholar Ibn Kathir who said that Solomon flew astride a wooden mat that could carry not only him but his retinue.
