The hill that you are refering to is the hill that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was crucified on. The hill is commonly called Golgotha and looks like a skull from a distance. The location is not exactly known. Though it is known Golgotha was outside of the walls of Jerusalem.

Golgotha is derived from גלגלתו (gulgaletov) meaning skull. Calvary is the latin used for the top part of the skull. Although there is only one hill which looks like the top part of a skull, still most Christians continue to believe that Golgotha is where Helen and Constantine I claimed it to be, under the Church of the Sepulcher.
