All religion's texts aren't sacred. Don't let anyone ever tell you they are.
Saying their texts are sacred is just one of the many tools those in religious power use to protect and perpetuate their world standing. Don't play into it.
By examining the sacred texts used for each of these religions. Some of the common texts used are: 1. The Bible for Christians 2. The Torah / Tanakh / Talmud for Jews 3. The Koran for Islam 4. The Bhagavad Gita / Upanishads / Vedas for Hindu 5. The Dhammapada / Tripitaka for Buddhists 6. Tao Te Ching for Taoists
Common religious differences are most noticable in two specific areas: 1. Who does a person worship? 2. How does a person get to heaven? The bible teaches that God alone is who a human should worship. This is different from other religions, because other religions may worship idols, or shrines. The bible teaches that through Jesus is the only way humans can have forgiveness of sins, and enter into heaven. God sent his son to pay for the sins of the world. This is different from other religions, because other religions may believe that a person has to be "good" in order to enter into heaven. Using the term "world's religions" emphasizes the diversity and ownership of the different religious traditions by followers worldwide. It acknowledges that these religions are an integral part of people's lives and cultures across the globe, rather than just existing in isolation.

The bible is very important, but there are different bibles the one I'm studying is a bible too. But the bible uses Gods name not just Lord. If we didn't have the bible we wouldn't know God, his name, why we are here, and all the other questions in the world.
The two famous sacred texts that Indians today still read are the Bhagavad Gita and the Vedas. The Bhagavad Gita, part of the Indian epic Mahabharata, is a philosophical dialogue that addresses moral dilemmas and the nature of duty. The Vedas, consisting of four texts—Rigveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda, and Atharvaveda—are ancient scriptures that form the foundation of Hindu spirituality and rituals. Both texts continue to be central to Hindu beliefs and practices.
