Rachel had four sons if we count the two sons bare by her maid, Bilhah, Genesis 30:3. This maid was responsible for bearing Dan and Naphtali, Genesis 30:4-8.
Rachel herself actually bore two sons, the first being Joseph, Genesis 30:22-24 whose name means *Jehovah has added* - the second son Rachel gives birth to is found again in Genesis 34:18 whom Rachel names *Ben-oni* which means *son of my sorrow* - but Jacob called him *Benjamin* which name means *son of my right hand* -
Both sons and all three names give a picture of God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
