Judas denied knowing Jesus. The disciple Peter denied knowing Christ three times when questioned about his association with him in the hours after Jesus' arrest. Christ had predicted this would happen, and Peter vowed he never would. He was to bitterly regret his defection of his Lord, and worked diligently to establish the early church.
According to the Bible, Peter also walked on water with Jesus. When Peter saw Jesus walking on the water, he asked Jesus to call him out of the boat, and for a moment he too was able to walk on the water before beginning to sink.
Peter denied Jesus because he was afraid if the crowd, who wanted to kill Jesus, knew he was one of Jesus' disciples. They would want to kill him as well. Overall, he was afraid of prison and death.
No, they were all there in the garden except Judas who came later with Jesus' captors. Jesus asked Peter James and John to go with him a little way off to pray. (Matthew 26.37) However, Matthew 17:1+2 mentions that only Peter, James and John were with Jesus for the transfiguration.
when Jesus was arrested peter tried to protect Jesus and peter then sliced off the mans head who was attacking Jesus. Jesus got angry from that told him off and healed the man who was trying to attack Jesus.

i dont think he did. i may be wrong. but i remember watching The Passion of the Christ and when the people asked if peter knew this man (Jesus) he denied it 3 times, then the crow cocked.

It was Peter. Jesus asked him who Peter thought He was. Peter answered that Jesus was the only Son of the living God. Then Jesus told him (Peter), that he would be the foundation of the new church (Christianity).
When Jesus asked Peter to follow him that time he and his brother Andrew were casting their net into the sea since they were fisherman. And the moment jesus asked them to follow him they immediately left their nets and followed him

Several people questioned him on three occasions, a 'servant girl' , another "girl" and "those standing around".(Matthew 26:69-74)
I suppose one of the big things about it is that Jesus knew that Peter would deny that he even knew Him (not even just one, but three times), and Jesus still loved Peter enough to make Peter the rock of the church.
