God. God spoke to Abraham and told him to stop, that he had proved his faith through his willingness and the fact he had been about to go through with killing Isaac (I'm pretty sure it was Isaac).
In the Islamic tradition, it is believed that Allah stopped Abraham from sacrificing his son by sending a ram to be sacrificed instead. This event is known as the "Binding of Isaac" in the Jewish tradition and as the "sacrifice of Ismael" in the Islamic tradition.
God did of course. Human sacrifice is something God specifically states he hates in the Tanach and so a sacrifice in this manner would not have been acceptable to Him. This was a test of faith, and Abraham obviously passed.
As a side note, we get the image in our heads that Isaac at this point was this little helpless 5-10 year old, but it can be proven in scripture that he was actually between 36-39 years of age. (I personally lean toward 37)
Yes, Hagar was a surrogate mother to Abraham and Sarah in the Bible. She bore a son, Ishmael, on Sarah's behalf when Sarah was unable to conceive.
In the story from the Bible and the Quran, God tested Abraham's faith by asking him to sacrifice his son, Isaac/Ishmael. Abraham demonstrated his faith and obedience by preparing to sacrifice his son, but at the last moment, God provided a ram as a substitute. This act is seen as a demonstration of Abraham's ultimate trust in God.
Abraham's first son was Ishmael, who was born to him by his wife's servant, Hagar. Ishmael is considered the ancestor of the Arab people.
God did not ask anyone to kill His Son, but He asked His Son to die for the sin of the world. Jesus (God's Son) said, "The reason my Father [God] loves me is that I lay down my life-only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father" (John 10:17-18). So even though God used humans to kill Jesus, God Himself was the One Who sacrificed His only Son (and then rose him from the dead) because He loved the world. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." God loves you and that He has a wonderful plan for your life. God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac. Abraham bound Isaac and was going to kill him, but an angel intervened and Isaac was not killed. God did this so Abraham could better understand how much love God has by giving his only begotten son to be cruelly killed to save mankind.
A:Genesis 16:16 says that Abram (later to be called Abraham) was 86 years old when Ishmael was born. Of course, this is an improbable age for someone to have a son, but no more so than when Abraham and Sarah were 100 and 90 respectively when Isaac was born. There is literary evidence in the Bible itself as to how the oral storytellers arrived at these ages and the biblical lifespans of the Patriarchs.
No he ask him to sacrifice his son but then when he was about to do it god stopped him
Abraham's original sacrifice was his son Isaac(Ishmael to the Islam religion) but God stopped him and so Abraham sacrificed a nearby ram as an offering to God.
No Moses is not the son of Abraham, it was Isaac who was Abraham son.
If you mean Issac from Genesis Chapter 22 then the answer is, His Father Abraham - asked to sacrifice his son Issac - led up a hill to be sacrificed ( mount of the LORD) Angel of the lord - stopped Abraham from sacrificing his son God - Testing Abraham by telling his to sacrifice his son That is about it. Hope this helps
God didn't promise Abraham anything. God just told him to sacrifice his son Isaac and Abraham, being obedient to God, was going to do what God told him to do. That is until God stopped him. God was seeing if Abraham would still be willing to obey God even if it meant killing his only son.
The son of Abraham and Hagar was Ishmael.
Saul was a descendant of Abraham. He lived some 900 years after Abraham.
Abraham's son = ben Avraham (בן אברהם)
Abraham Lincoln & the Emancipation Proclamation.
Abraham had several wives Sarah, Hager and his sons were Isaac and Ishmael.
