He was a remarkable boy, who died at the age of 12 of a very rare bone marrow disease. He had a tremendous belief in God, and inspired thousands by his courage and unshakable faith. There was a documentary produced about him, just before he died, called 'encounter with Garvan Byrne'. A heavenly gift sent to bless and touch lives whilst he lived, and even 25 years after he died.
