Saint George was a Christian who spoke out against Christian persecution. He was born in Turkey and is the patron saint of England because he represents England's ideas of bravery and honor, even though he never set foot in England.

He is supposed to have killed a dragon. St George's day is the 23rd of April. He is the patron saint od England and boy scouts.

He was also the patron saint of Tsarist Russia
