The Bible refers to her in each of the four Gospels. In Matthew Chapter 26,Mark 14,Luke 7.36 and John 12. Its only in Luke she is described as weeping and it's in John that she is named as Mary and John 11 says she's the sister of Martha and Lazarus.

Mary Magdalene is often associated with washing the feet of Jesus with her tears and hair, as described in the Gospel of Luke. However, it is important to note that the specific woman's identity is not clearly mentioned in The Bible.

In the New Testament Book of John, Chapter 12, Mary of Bethany (not Mary Magdalene) washed the feet of Jesus in gratitude for raising her brother Lazarus from the dead.
