There are two that i know of and I don't know which one you are referring to so I will describe them both. The first is the mother of Jesus and the other is Mary Magdalene, one the women who came the see Jesus' tomb and found an angel, and was at the cross when Jesus died.Actually, this is a quite difficult question to answer and is still being debated among biblical scholars today. There are several possibilities. Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary the wife of Cleophas, Mary the mother of James and Joses. There are many reasons why one can say that the Mary at the tomb with Mary Magdalene was not the mother of Jesus. Then again she may well have been. Apparently, Mary Magdalene and the mother of Jesus were in view of the cross during the crucifixion. The gospels of Matthew and Luke are widely believed to have been taken from the earlier writings of Mark. The difficulty lies in the Gospel of John which obviously has a different source of information. Hence the differing accounts of the events. We may not know who was there until we get to heaven.
Saint Clare had two younger sisters: Agnes and Beatrice.
Answer The Gospel according to John records Jesus visiting Martha and Mary on two occasions: the first was after the death of their brother, Lazarus (John 11:1) and the second was the week before Passover (John 12:1). Upon considering how Jesus reacted to the death of Lazarus (He wept and people remarked how much Jesus loved Lazarus) it is quite safe to assume that Jesus was well known to the family and had visited on previous occasions.
