A:

Jeffrey B. Russell (The Prince of Darkness: Radical Evil and the Power of Good in History) says that the role of the Devil is to exonerate God for the existence of evil. He says that the Devil is a human construct to explain the existence of evil, in the presence of an all-good, all-powerful creator God. The person of Satan in the Book of Job is an earlier, post-Exilic notion of Satan as the loyal assistant to God, one whose image evolved into an autonomous, wholly evil adversary of God.

Christians took a different approach to evolving Judaism and saw the Devil as an evil personification of Satan. Without Satan, God would be responsible for all the evil in the world, and the role of the Devil is to exonerate God.

Who did Adam and Eves kids marry?

According to the Bible, Adam and Eve's children, Cain and Abel, likely married their own sisters. This was possible because during that time, there was a limited number of people on Earth, and siblings marrying each other was not condemned until later in history.

What did god do to help humanity after they turned against him?

Hello If you read Genesis chapter 3 which is the description of mankind's fall from grace in Jehovah God's eyes and the solution for all those who will stand for His requirements, although our progenitors Adam and Eve have made their choice to listen to someone else's voice, and that Eve was going to become the mother of mankind according to Genesis 3: 20. Genesis 3: 15 reads. " And I will put enmity ( hostility ) between you and the woman and between your offspring ( Seed ) and her offspring ( Seed )etc... This Scripture shows that there were going to be two offsprings. To identify who is who 1 John 5: 19 reads " We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. Revelation 12: 9 shows that the wicked one is the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth, as is read in Genesis 3: 1-5. The other offspring is identified in Revelation 12: 7 and 12: 17 which is all about those who have chosen to abserve the commandments of God and have worked to bear witness concerning Jesus. After Adam and Eve turned against Jehovah God, He stated Genesis 3: 15 which pointed to events that would fulfill his purpose but would not occur until thousands of years later. These events included producing Abraham's offspring, the lineage that would lead to the birth of the Christ. Read Genesis 22: 15-18. Then in 33 C.E., Jesus was struck in the heel, as fortold. Check Acts 3: 13-15 Revelation 20: 7-10 explains the crushing of Satan's head that is still to come. Satan's system and Jehovah's organisation will come to a climax. Genesis 3: 15 is an ancient prophecy that was given after Adam and Eve sinned. and bind the content of every Book of the Bible into one united message, namely that a Deliverer would be sent to destroy the Devil and all his wicked followers. Revelation 12: 9 mentioned above leaves no doubt of who is the original serpent, identified as Satan the Devil. When the Bible speaks of offspring in a figurative sense, it is refering to those who think and act like their symbolic father. So the offspring is made up of spirit creatures and humans who, like Satan resist Jehovah God and oppose His people. So to answer your question concerning what did God do to help humanity. well! He sent His only begotten Son to give us insight of the things that were to take place on earth until God's kingdom comes. Read John 3: 16; 1John 5: 20 ; Matthew 6: 9, 10 . Psalms 37: 29 reads "The righteous will possess the earth, and live forever on it. This privilege was taken away from Adam and Eve due to their choice, to listen to someone else's voice. Today we have the same choice to make. Either Satan's influence or Jehovah God's influence with the insight given by Jesus Christ. There are only two voices. ( two offsprings as mentioned in Genesis 3: 15 Genesis 2: 17 shows the condition that was required from Adam if he wanted to live and never die. it was God's clear statement, which was (not to eat from the tree of good and bad ) Adam knew that if he did not eat from that tree he would not have died. It was also the opportunity for both of them to show the One who had given them life the right to direct their way of life. Jeremiah 10: 23 reminds us that it does not belong to mankind to direct their steps. Our hope is in God's Kingdom ( government ) that Jesus told us to pray for in Matthew 6: 9,10. Kind regards
