A soul. Which is very frequently unattainable to many of them. Therefore, most political leaders, in order to lead a moral life, need to do the honorable thing and kiss the barrel of a .44 magnum.
What your morals are rule your life, if you think it is acceptable to swear, others will avoid you. If you think it is allright to steal, you'll go to jail. What you believe in rules your life.
There are only TWO kinds of Philosophy in this world, Spiritual Philosophy and Moral Philosophy. Spiritual Philosophy is based on Spiritual Knowledge and Moral Philosophy is based on Physical Knowledge. - Das Mookken.
Spiritually when we are within the will of God we have put ourselves in a position to not only receive blessings but to also avoid the consequences of sin. When we live a moral life we are living according to the laws of "right" based on what God's word teaches and it boils down to respect for God, yourself and those around you. Moral is within the will of God, not sinning, no consequences, things are as good as you could make them. Respecting those around you gives you the best chance of being respected in return. Being loving in most cases gives you love back. Lacking the guilt of being wrong iin a situation gets you the best chances of being found inocent. So the moral advantage is the avoidance of all that sin, lawlessness and acting disrespectfully will bring to your life and instead enjoy all that being a person that lives according to God's teachings receives which is peace, goodwill and respect. Theres a lack of guilt, regret and the misery this brings. You don't necessarily have to be a christian to have morals or live a moral life, but the standards those that live morally have set for themselves to follow are still based on the teachings of Jesus whether they know it or not.
Any moral act is made in concordance with God' law.Any act done without respecting God and His rules, is an immoral act.In the end the most moral act anybody can do is to love ! Love God, love the people and of course love yourself (and by that I mean doing good things to yourself not having pride and be self-centered)It's not pleasant but : even if you give money to a poor man, if it is not done to obey the Lord, then it is an act done by your own will. If you do an act by yourself (and not with God) it is like a saying that you want to live by yourself, and not wanting God in your actions and life. That's also a sin and therefore an immoral act.You could say that it is an outrageous idea but the one of the laws of God is this : "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." Matthew 22:37.It is hard to accept but : every action without God or not done because of His love is not an obedience of His Laws, and therefore a sin or an immoral act.1 Corinthians 10:31 "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."So if you love God and have a personal relationship with Him, you will start to live a moral life and all the good moral things will come out of that relation. But if you don't have a loving relation with God, you cannot live a true moral life. You will do moral acts but only in the eyes of others, the true moral act and life is to love God.
The Puritans believed in following strict religious principles to lead a moral life and ensure their salvation. Confucianism may have gotten its name from a man named Confucius, but he is not the founder. There is no founder of Confucianism. There are also no current leaders (such as the Catholic Pope). It is more like a moral code or way to live life than an organized religion (even though technically, it is a religion).
