You have salt water because the Seder plate is to remember and honor the slaves, the salt water is the tears of the slaves from the Exodus, when they were forced to work. I am not Jewish but we studied this a while ago in school

Why do people eat the sedar meal?

People eat the Seder meal as part of the Passover celebration. It is a symbolic meal that commemorates and retells the story of the Israelites' liberation from slavery in Egypt, as instructed in the Torah. The meal follows a specific order outlined in the Haggadah, a text that guides the rituals and readings during Passover.

What is worn at the sedar meal?

It is customary among Ashkenazim for the head of the household to wear a plain white garment or robe, called a kittel in Yiddish, during the Seder. Men also wear a kippah, or head covering, at the crown of their heads. Women generally wear dresses and often hair coverings. Many Yemenite Jews wear traditional garb at the Seder, including colorful robes and turbans.

What is the difference between holy water and blessed water?

Holy water has been consecrated by a member of the clergy and is typically used in religious ceremonies and rituals, such as baptism or to bless objects. Blessed water, on the other hand, may refer to water that has been prayed over or blessed by a religious figure but has not necessarily undergone the formal consecration process for holy water.
