Belief and faith are inherent to human beings since the beginning of times. Some beliefs have been organized into doctrines, ritual, dogmas and organized in hierarchical structures, becoming religions. As any organized form, a religion exists for its self preservation and all its acts are ultimately directed to survive and expand or multiply.

AnswerA religion's teachings must not be confused with the religion itself or its organized structure. The traditions and teachings transmitted in a given religion are independent from (albeit some time influenced by) its structural form. Most often the teachings of a religion aim to the spiritual life as well as to the moral of its followers. In some religions those teachings are presented as a guidance while in others are an obligation, with inherent rewards and punishments. The central teachings of a religion, sometimes considered as the religion itself, are therefore a form of moral and spiritual guidance and support and as such are accepted by many, finding its place in society.

Many integrate religion in one way or other in their daily lives, but there are also many who believe that religion has not a positive effect in society.

Answer

*There are lots of people who like to dream and to imagine a world (Heaven) where they can get away and live happily ever after. There is a need by some in society to believe that there is a fairyland.

*Some people find their solitude and ecstasy from intoxicating drugs and activities.

*Believing in God is just another way in which people get their "HIGH".

*Religion has been used as a tool to maintain political dominance.

Native American religious views sprang from the careful contemplation of nature, which brought about the realization that there is a powerful, loving Creator who has our good in store. Once this truth has been accepted, one can seek a closer relationship with Creator, which He is glad to supply.

Religion exists in all cultures, everywhere. So religion exists because men who had religion survived better than men who did not have religion: that is "survived" in an evolutionary way, as in Charles Darwin's theory of the "survival of the fittest". Religion serves an evolutionary purpose. There is no other way to explain why it exists in all peoples, everywhere.

Religion basicly exist for one reason. to give peace of mind for what happens after you die. now most religion developed because it turns out it was a very effective form of government used to persuade the scared and week minded with life after death so there was some forum of organization for the human species. obviously now in this day and age it is very useless and only hinders technological development like stem cell research. not stem cells from the fetus but from the grown mans hand, yes you can and thanks to religion no we cant use it. and also to give pease of mind to thoughs who cant accept that there just might be nothing after dead or try to explore the alturnative. Cant tell you what it is ;P but there might be a book on it in a few years.

Why do some people not consider Confucianism as a religion?

Confucianism is not a religion, but rather a philosophy. It deals with many things that might be considered religious, such as morality, but has no particular insights about a deity, nor is religion required to exercise morality. There does, however, exist a continuing debate whether or not Confucianism can be considered a religion. The answer depends largely on one's definition of "religion".

What kind of religion for white people?

Not sure if you are asking is there a religion for just white people. The Bible states at Acts 10: 34,35 that God is not partial, but in every nation the man who fears him and does what is righ is acceptable to him. So our creator loves all people the same and therefore no racial division should exist among those who are truly adhering to God's word.
