God will save someone, anyone, no matter what day it is. It makes no difference whether they are dying or not. The determining factor is the believer. All one must do is come to God in faith for the answer. This means that you believe that God will come through for you. He will not let you down. It's much easier to do this when you realize that God has already given you His best gift ever in the person of Jesus Christ. Since He didn't withhold Jesus from you, He will not withhold anything that is good and perfect. There are many scriptures to support faith for every blessing to be desired, and if we study the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, we will see God's true heart; that He always saves, heals, and delivers. When it comes down to it, though, we all need the faith of Jesus to get the job done right. This is why I love the story where a man who was short on faith came to Jesus and said "I believe, help my unbelief". He got his answer, and so will you.
