St. Simon Peter, was the first apostle of Our Lord. He was a fisherman by trade from the town of Bethsaida on the Sea of Galilee. After Oy Lord's ascension into Heaven, he preached the Gospel in such places as Greece and Russia. For this he was crucified on an X-shaped cross in Greece. He is said to have continued preaching for 2 days from the cross until he died.
