In 2 Cor 5:7, it is stated that "we walk by faith, not by sight". Faith is certain in a matter that our foundation on life is entirely based on faith. Our relationship to our family, friends, community, and the society relies wholly on faith. It is followed instinctively not scientifically - we walk by faith, not by sight. Further to that, God is "Mystery", we follow this concept with the idea that a person can't fully comprehend who and what He is. This obscurity basically means that faith in God cannot be proven in a subordinate manner such as experimentation.

Answer:

Belief in God and trust in Him is certain because all human beings are created with this instinct. Every ancient society worldwide, without exception, shared this belief in a Higher Power.

It is obscure because God conceals Himself, wanting that we should draw near of our own efforts.

Faith is certain in the sense of unwavering belief in something despite lack of concrete evidence. Its obscurity stems from the fact that faith often involves beliefs that cannot be proven or fully understood through rational means, leading to a sense of mystery and transcendence.
