Persons who are in love and planning to marry should use their courtship to build a solid foundation of mutual trust and respect. Think: How can a woman fully trust a man who has shown himself lacking in self-control? And how easy is it for a man to cherish and honor a woman who disregards God's law in order to satisfy her romantic feelings or to please the man?

Views on premarital sex vary among different cultures and belief systems. Some may consider premarital sex morally objectionable due to religious teachings that emphasize abstinence or the importance of sexual intimacy within the confines of marriage. Others may view premarital sex as a personal choice that should be made with consideration of one's values, beliefs, and the potential consequences involved.

I used to think it was objectionable; now I no longer think it is.This is mainly a religious idea - supposedly, according to various religions, god or the gods want us to have sexual intercourse only within a marriage.

Please note that you do need to take some precautions - frequently changing sex partners does increase the risk of transmitting diseases; AND sexual intercourse in general, if it is between a man and a woman, may result in an unwanted pregnancy.

It always is objectionable and thoughts or feelings on it doesn't matter. God only wants sex to occur within a family context because sex makes children, and children do best in a 2 parent home where there are both masculine and feminine guiding energies. The man is to be the provider in a home, and if he is not married, he will usually fail to provide. There is something morally wrong with you if you don't want to be with ONLY one person for live and to have all intimate contact with just them.

If you have sex before marriage, both of you are ruined for life and are unfit to ever marry. So why would you want to ruin another person like that?

Diseases and unwanted pregnancies are part of God's punishment for practicing such immorality. Look at what God did to Sodom and Gomorrah for their immorality. Later passages say "a lack of hospitality," and sexually abusing strangers is certainly a lack of hospitality.
