These seem improbable ages for them to have a son, and in the absence of another explanation would seem to have been a miracle, as were the great ages to which they are said to have lived. That other explanation is that the Book of Genesis attributes to people ages - like 90 and 100 - that are easy to remember for oral story-telling, or which are based on the number 17. If we look at the lifespans of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, The Bible says that:
If we look at the lifespan of Sarah, we find that Genesis says she lived to 127 years, which is the sum of these consecutive square numbers plus 17 (127 = 52 +62 + 72 + 17).
These ages are so well-contrived that we should accept that even if Abraham and Sarah were real, historical people, they would not have lived to these great ages, nor would they have really had a child at exactly 100 and 90 years old, respectively. The miracle is in the story-telling.
The birth of Isaac to Abraham and Sarah was considered a miracle because Sarah was well beyond childbearing age, and both she and Abraham were physically unable to conceive. It defied the laws of nature and demonstrated God's power in fulfilling his promise to make Abraham the father of many nations.
Isaac is sometimes called "the child of the promise" because God promised Abraham that Sarah would have a son despite her old age, and Isaac was born miraculously fulfilling that promise. Isaac's birth symbolizes God's faithfulness in keeping His promises to His chosen people.

Abraham was the father of Ishmael by Hagar, the Egyptian servant of Sarah. Sarah gave Hagar as a wife to Abraham because she herself was barren. Later, Sarah gave birth to Isaac and eventually Hagar and Ishmael were sent away. Incidentally, many Muslims believe that Ishmael (or Ismail) was the son Abraham was ordered to offer up to God in sacrifice although this isn't specified in the Qur'an.
Isaac was the son of Sarah and Abraham, Ishmael was the son of Sarah's maid Hagar and Abraham. interesting, I thought Isaac was his only son................ Well you thought wrong, didn't you. Funny how easily that can happen. Here's another one: Everybody thinks that gcd told Adam and Eve not to eat from the fuit of the tree. But that never happened either. Not even in the Bible.
The commandment of circumcision was in place, and Abraham was circumcised, about a year before Isaac was born. So Isaac was circumcised shortly after his birth, with no repetition of the commandment required.
