it was repeated from generation to generation but only started from moses to the Jews.

before moses, abrahams religion were told of a prophet/saviour that would guide thewm from slavery - who was moses.

moses told them of Jesus, who was the true messiah but the Jews that didnt accept him, stayed as Jews still wating for their messiah - the ones that did became christians.

Jesus told us about the anti chrsit, and when the anti christ does come, the Jews will think that's their messiah, and their want to build his temple where the current day al aqsa mosque is - that's why the hoo haa about al aqsa - cus that's where he will rule from - and they wanna get his temple ready for him.

The promise of the Messiah was repeated from generation to generation to keep hope alive among believers, to maintain a sense of anticipation for the coming Savior, and to fulfill the prophecies laid out in scripture. This repetition served as a reminder of God's faithfulness and His plan for salvation.

What was God's gift to the Jews?

God's gift to the Jews is the promise God gave to Abraham ,Issac, and Jacob. It's an everlasting covenant. Like the land Israel is in now. It belongs to them. It's a promise God made with Abraham, Issac, and Jacob and carried through to Moses and King David. The only thing is that, some Jews don't embrace Jesus as Messiah. My ? to the Jews that don't believe Jesus is the Messiah, other than Jesus, who has fulfilled all the old testament prophecy concerning who is the Messiah?

Why did John the Baptist send two disciples to see if Jesus was the Messiah if he already knew?

More than any other early Christian writer, the author of Luke was a master of using repetition to confirm a story in the minds of his readers. He seems to have found that if he repeated the same information three times, in different circumstances, then his readers accepted it as the truth. Luke had Jesus associated frequently with John the Baptist, raising John to the status of a prophet, almost an equal of Elijah, but acknowledging Jesus to be greater. The references in chapter 7 enabled John once again to acknowledge Jesus as one greater than he, while seeking confirmation that Jesus was the Messiah, then the disciples repeated this message and finally Jesus summarised all his miracles that would indeed prove him to be the Messiah. The message, implicitly and explicitly, that Jesus truly was the Messiah was repeated three times in a short passage. This is evidence of a literary masterpiece.

Who is the waiting messiah and Can messiah be a woman?

The idea of 'maschiach' (which means 'anointed') originated in Judaism. The Jewish Maschiach will be a normal, human man; he must fulfill the 23 Jewish messianic prophecies before he dies. Christianity took the concept, changed it, and declared that Jesus was the 'messiah'. As he does not fulfill any of the Jewish criteria for 'maschiach', though, he is not the Jewish messiah. The Jewish messiah is likely to be a man, but there are some Jews who argue that it could be a woman. There is a belief that in every generation, a potential messiah is born. But Jews do not actively 'wait' for their messiah. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
