Not really. They have a natural avoidance to humans. But please do not feed it otherwise it will come after humans and confuses the food with the hand and may bite it off. Also when they are mating and there is a nest, the mom will come after those who intrude. They are not Nile Crocodiles or Saltwater who can proper 30 feet in the air to grab a human. Those are one of our major predators. The bumps by them are misunderstandings. The only unprovoked attacks occur when people swim in rivers in the South that are not designated swimming areas. But gators are really willing to live as long as we stay clear of them.
