Yes they are in some ways but not in others snakes and beardies are both reptiles which are both cold blooded. They both eat vermin's such as mice and even little hamsters. Bearded dragons have a lot more character and are a lot more expensive! snakes are fun but can not be handled after there feeding and they swallow there food whole. They both need heat and both live in warm countries they are also both great pets but when you think about it nothing alike.
Komodo dragons are just huge lizzards that have tongues like snakes that flick out every now and then.
they use it to find heat sources, like snakes

No, eels do not shed their skin like snakes. Eels have a slimy mucus layer on their skin that helps protect them from parasites and bacteria, but they do not shed their skin. Instead, their skin grows with their body and they may appear darker or lighter depending on their environment.
ALL snakes shed their skins - their skin doesn't 'stretch' like ours does, so they have to discard the old skin when it gets too tight.
Thata is common misconception. Snakes skin is actually dry and scaly. Their skin in not slimy
Lizards will shed their skin in a similar way as snakes as they grow and mature, though it is usually shed in small pieces instead of large pieces as with most snakes.
