Well, it's alldependent on what snake you get, and where you get it from. I have a Ball Python for example, and it's very sweet natured and will let you hold him all the time. I also have younger siblings (6, and 11) who also hold him and they have never been hurt.
Also my Python doesn't bite. Allmost allof it's kind dont. So,really it just depends on the type of snake. ( captive pets from a pet store or rescue are more tame and appropriate for children compared to wild snakes)
So just research and find a snake you like that is wellmannered and controled.
Yes it is safe for only some snakes though

No, we don't know if the raccoons were sick or had any diseases that can be hazardous. The chickens will not be safe around kids. They simply could transfer germs or bacteria from the raccoons to the kids.
No, snakes cannot eat a four-year-old child. Snakes are not large enough to consume a human of that size, and they typically prey on much smaller animals like rodents or birds. It is important to keep children safe around any kind of animal, including snakes, by teaching them to respect wildlife and avoid interactions that could be dangerous.
Since this is heavy equipment weighing 126 pounds, I would not let young kids be around it unattended.
