I wouldn't suggest them because they grow pretty big (and are alot of $$$$money) they are hard to feed, plus they do bite. You should try a Green Anole, they are small (don't have teeth unless you consider stubs teeth) never bite and are easy to feed.

Guinea pigs as classroom pets will entertain and delight small children and they will also calm them down when it is happily snuffling around on the floor.
