It might be possible under some circumstances. Some crossbreeding has occurred between different types of crocodiles. It might be possible to breed an alligator with a crocodile. To have viable offspring, it might be necessary to try a number of different crocodiles.

Two types of alligators exist, the American and the Chinese. Both live in fresh water. Neither has the salt removal glands of a crocodile. You would need to start with a fresh water crocodile. That leaves out a number of crocodiles.

Then you need to take your animals and get them to breed. Maybe an egg or two will hatch.

On the funny side:

No. I cannot breed a crocodile with an alligator. I stay as far away from both of them as I can!
