Rabbits can eat certain fresh fruits as a treat, including pieces of fig. Always remove the stone (pit) from inside the fig: it can lead to serious problems. Fruit must be limited in a rabbit's diet because it's high in sugars, and too much can lead to illness. The House Rabbit Society recommends no more than 2 tablespoons of treat food per day for a normal, healthy 6 pound rabbit. Dried fig is even sweeter than fresh fig, so if you give dried fig to your rabbit you should cut the portion size by 2 thirds (i.e. 2 teaspoons max for a 6 pound rabbit).
