Yes you can, I do!
smaller aqarium
you can put fish in the tank but you can also put frogs in it too!
Turtle will most likely kill frog eventually.
It depends on the size of your aquatic friend. If your turtle is the size of a fifty cent piece it should be cool.
Im not to shore but I woudnt because bigger turtles see smaller turtles as prey(dinner)
When feeding aquatic turtles you have to put both the turtles and the pellets in water for the turtles to be able to eat the pellets. Unlike humans, aquatic turtles have fixed tongues meaning that they can't move them. So to get the food down their throat they use water. A turtle may grab a chunk of food on land but then they will rush to the nearest water to swallow it. So yes, feed your aquatic turtles in water.
You clean your turtles tank every 2 weeks and you dont need to wash your turtle because your turtle will wash itsself in the fresh water you have put in
Yes I have two pet turtles and they will bite you if you put your hands next to their mouth. And if u pick them up you will get Salmonilla which is a disease in the turtles.
In actual fact, the term "penny turtle" is just the name of baby turtles. So depending on the type of turtle you have, it can grow to different sizes. If you're looking for a small turtle/terrapin, I highly recommend the musk turtle, as it grows to :Females - 6-10"Males - 3-5"I have had a musk turtle for seven years now and at four years old he stopped growing at 3". He's very friendly and likes to be picked up, although when put with another turtle, they do get aggressive. In conclusion, penny turtle's are quite rare to buy, I'm from Essex and I assure you they aren't for sale in the U.K! I got my ex-girlfriend a penny turtle but I ordered it from the states and it cost me $130!! so they aren't the cheapest pets either.Hope this helps!Dave x
It is generally not recommended to house frogs and turtles together in the same tank. This is because turtles are known to be opportunistic feeders and may mistake the frog as prey, posing a risk to the frog's safety. Additionally, frogs have specific habitat and environmental requirements that may not be met in a turtle tank.
First if you have not already got a tank, go to a pet store and ask for the right size tank for your turtle. Also while you are there get at least 2 or more bags of gravel. Plus get some sand too. fill the bottom of the tank with the gravel and put a large hill goring up with the sand so your turtle can have land. put some small logs and drift wood into the tank so your turtle can hide. also put some aquatic plants in to so if you forget to feed it he/she can eat the plants. plus get a filter. then put your turtle in and he/she can enjoy the tank.
