I wouldn't recommend them - since they spend the vast majority of their lives in burrows. Having said that - they are (apparently) one of the more docile snake species.
They both make good pets, they're both snakes, they're both constrictors, they're both predaters, they're both non venomous.
Boa Constrictors do make great pets if you don't mind a snake that can get 6-10 feet. The larger size of them is not for everyone. However, they are not the largest snakes out there. I currently have 9 ball pythons, 6 red tail boa ( boa constictors), 7 kenyan sand boas, and 1 amazon tree boa. Of the snakes I own, the boa constrictors are my favorite. But remember they do get larger then the others I have but they have great temperment. If you can house one and don't mind cleaning the cage once a week or every time it deficates and cleaning the water bowl every 2-3 days. They make wonderful pets.
yes ghost ants make really good pets
Salamanders make great pets.
They Ushlly Get 2 - 4 Foot. They Pretty Pets Too.
red eared slider turtles make good pets.
Thorny devils can be good pets. It really depends on who you are.
The most popular pet snakes on almost all polls and lists the corn snake and ball or royal pythons. Both species are non aggressive, easy to keep and make good pets (with the proper set up). They would be followed by king or milk snakes, hog nose snakes, boa constrictors, carpet pythons and rosy and Kenyan sand boas. improvement/edition: I was told that a good snake for a child such as 10 years of age and up, is a rat snake. I love all snakes! They really fascinate me!
