They prefer to eat greens such as dandelions, collared greens ,mustard greens, fruits and veggies (strawberries, cantaloupe, berries, mango, peaches, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, beats, and hibiscus flowers), fungi (mushrooms), and animal matter (crickets, slugs, earth worms, hard boiled eggs [mashed up], and snails). I don't see why they wouldn't eat grass or couldn't but they don't like it as much as the other food items.
no turtles do not eat manatee grass. :)

Some turtles, such as tortoises, can eat grass as part of their diet. However, not all species of turtles eat grass, as their diet can vary depending on their species and habitat. It is important to research the specific dietary needs of the turtle species you are caring for.
Green sea turtles use their beaklike mouth and serrated jaws to eat sea grass, corals, and jellyfish. They are omnivorous when they are born, but as they age, they'll get to be herbivorous.
