yes
They can sleep anywhere, but perferably a dark spot, like under a dome. Also they are nocturnal, so leave your heat (day) light on for 5-6 hrs., and the gecko can sleep easier. Also if you handle them, you might be able to make them diurnal. I say this from experience.

monkeys sleep on a little bed made of leafs, dirt, and sticks
I believe that geckos have a very similar sleeping patterns to cats. Some can sleep at night some can sleep during the day, some seem to always sleep and some seem to never sleep. I find that geckos are use to being handled at certain times, so if you play with your gecko during the day that is when the gecko will be routinely active.

Most gecko's are nocturnal, so check during the day if they are asleep, then at night if they are awake. if they stay awake all the time, consult a vet.
The time for a gecko to hunt is usually during the night , the reason for this is because they tend to be more nocturnal , there for they sleep mostly during the day and hunt during the night ( : Amy
