Are you taking care of it properly??? Do you have UVB/UVA lighting, proper heat lamp, big enough enclosure, lots of handling? Younger bearded dragons diets are 80% bugs, whereas older/ mature ones are 80% fruit and veggies. If you have done all this, maybe take him/ her to your local vet or exotics vet if necessary.Bearded dragons do not grow for their whole entire life. It is normal for them to stop growing around the age of 1 and a half or 2 years.BUT DEFINITELY TAKE IT TO THE VET. BEARDED DRAGONS ARE SPECIAL AND ONE OF THE MOST INCREDIBLE PETS.
Bearded Dragons are lovely creatures and make great pets. They are fairly low maintenance and tough so they are good for a beginner. They can have distinct personalities much like dogs, and can even be taken for walks in summer! Overall, Beardies make excellent pets. Make sure to read up before getting one so you can take care of your pets needs.
Adult bearded dragons average 15" to 17" in length, though there are reports of large males reaching up to 23".
It matters why you want to get a bearded dragon. Bearded Dragons are very good for beginners with reptiles. I've had 1 bearded dragon they are very good as long as you take them out enough they can become tamed and they will liked to be held more. If you want a lizard that isn't hard to take care of the Bearded Dragon is the way to go. The most important part about them is making sure they are tamed. This means you must take them out of their tank at least 3 times a week. When they get big enough and they are tamed they will allow you to put a harness on them and you can walk them. I think Bearded Dragons are good pets if your going to pay attention to it. They are not like some lizards that you don't have to feed them everyday. One reason they are good pets is they are very nice. It is very easy to tame them and once you set up their tank the right way and they like it, it will be easy to take care of them if you don't give them the tank they want/need it will be very hard You need at least a 20 gallon tank for a baby if adult you need at least 50.
No dont put the tank by the window take your beardie outside with you and hold him/her in your hands.
If he's on sand that could be the reason, if he's not on sand take him to a vet
Yes, and this would be a nice, appropriate-sized enclosure for a pair. Be certain to buy a book on bearded dragon care, and do thorough research, before bringing home any pet. Never take advice from pet store personnel.
Bearded dragons grow at a faster rate compared to many other reptiles. They reach their full size within 1-2 years, while some reptiles can take several years to reach maturity. Additionally, bearded dragons have a unique shedding process where they shed their skin in patches rather than all at once like some other reptiles.
I'm not quite sure how much it costs as the price always varies, especially at different vet clinic, however if your bearded dragons leg is broken, you need to get it fixed, no matter how much it costs!!!!!
