In the UK, you do not need a specific license to own a yellow-bellied slider as a pet. However, keeping them is subject to the Animal Welfare Act, which requires proper care and housing. Additionally, it’s important to check local regulations, as some areas may have restrictions on keeping non-native species. Always ensure you are sourcing your pet from a reputable breeder or seller.
yes, they need to fill their lungs with air. although aquatic they need land to bask and breed, if they get stuck underwater they will drown if they have no access to air.
Actually, nobody really knows which one is better:a red eared or a snake neck turtle. But they do have opinions. Somebody can say that a red eared turtle is better than a snake neck turtle and somebody else might say tha a snake neck turtle is better than a red eeared turtle. We have different thoughts and opinions. I hope this helped. If you need any more advice on turtles, feel free to email me and I will send you one back quickly. My email is: kate216@hanmail.net

The first year the Yellow bellied slider will grow about 4 to 5 inches and the second year - it will grow to 6 to 7 inches. In the third year it will grow to its maximum size of 8 to 13 inches. Hope this will help you. Regards, Wing Wong I have read that females can grow upto 12cm (males are smaller) but I am not sure how accurate this info is as I don't know anything about them I am looking into them for a friend!
It depends what type of turtle. My yellow bellied turtle (yellow bellied slider) in Scotland cost me £18, but that wasn't the tank, filter, water heater or heat lamp, (you may also need a UV lamp) that was just the turtle.
Yes! A lot of them do just need to find a good sized pond
it is very easy, simply take the SD card out of the camera, and you should see a little yellow slider on the side. if the card is write protected, you need only slide the yellow slider in the opposite direction.
Certainly a driver's licence... Additionally you would need a HGV licence and a crane operators licence.
Yellow-bellied turtles, also known as yellow-bellied sliders, require clean, freshwater in their habitat. It is important to provide a large enough tank or pond with adequate filtration to maintain water quality. Water temperature should be maintained at around 75-85°F (24-29°C), and a basking area with a heat lamp should be provided for them to regulate their body temperature.
