You can set up a habitat in as lilttle as a 10 gallon tank(20 is more prefferable). You need a standard heat lamp, with a Night time bulb.(leos are nocturnal)They need 3 hides.A hot, a cool, and a moist for shedding. They eat crickests, mealworms, slikworms, phoneix worms.they are desert dwelling reptiles. You should get fake cacti. Hope this helps. Myke Stone
Depends on how fancy a set up you want, for example if you already have a tank you only need heat mats and you don't need artificial lights as you would with Bearded Dragons. I priced it up for a 3ft tank and it would cost £30 for all the accessories as i already have the tank.
The leopard gecko kit being sold at most pet stores usually consist of: A 10 Gallon tank Sand for substrate 2-3 Deco's 1 Hide 1waterbowl 1 food dish You can use it for a panther gecko because panther geckos are very adaptable and can be kept in a desert or a tropical set-up, but I reccomend a mix. What I would do is buy the kit and buy some eco earth to mix in with the sand and there you go panther gecko set up!
This depends on which Gecko you are talking about, as they are quite a few. A leopard Gecko is usually around £40, where as a crested Gecko can be picked up for as cheap as £20. That said, a red Crested Gecko can set you back £80. It is best to call your local reptile pet store for an exact quote.
the smallest tank that you want for a leopard gecko is 10 gallons. Any bigger than that is fine. If you have 2 or more, a 10 gallon tank isn't big enough. Leopard geckos get very claustrophobic. when you pick them up, you don't want your hole hand around them, keep your hand nice and open or they get very stressed and that is never good for lizards. Some things you might need are rocks for it to lay on and get heat, a water bowl for when it gets too hot and also make sure it always has plenty of water. 1 to 3 hiding places depending on how big your terrarium is because they get stressed when they cant feel that there safe. Some leopard geckos are different, some like to dig under the sand and some like to climb. You will eventually fined that out when you get to know it. If you have a baby leopard gecko, DO NOT have sand on the floor of the tank because when they are going to eat, they could easily eat some of the sand and there bodies will not digest it well. Then you can design it what ever way you want, stuff for it to climb on, hide under, what ever would make more comfortable.
Snow Leopard is an upgrade to Leopard and so you will need Leopard installed on your Mac before installing Snow Leopard. For Mac computers with an Intel processor running Tiger you will need to purchase the box set that includes iLife 09 and iWork. (See links below)
Leopard geckos are insectivores, they are ground dwellers and they come from the desert. In captivity, there are many different things you can use to replicate a natural environment for a leopard gecko. A couple of different options can include: Tank/terrarium : A minimal of 10 gallons of space is required for each adult leopard gecko. A zoo med, exo terra, hybousa, all living things, tupper wear tubs or even a fish aquarium will work. The set up must be secure because although leopard geckos cannot stick to glass, they are great climbers and can easily find a way out of the setup if there is no lid. Heating/lighting : Leopard geckos require an ambient temperature ranging from 75-80 F and a basking spot up to 95-98F. In most cases a 40W bulb is sufficient. be sure to purchase a thermometer to ensure heat is regulated. These animals are nocturnal and do not require UVB lighting. They do not require a night light either. If you are able to maintain an ambient temperature of 75-80, in most cases a heating mat is not required. There has been many cases where a leopard gecko recieves severe burns due to laying on the mat directly. Substrates/bedding/accessories : Throughout the keeping of leopard geckos, most care sheets advise keepers to use calcium sand as a substrate, although this has been made for ground dwelling reptiles, it is not easily digestable. When a leo feeds, there is a high chance of recieving a mouthfull of sand, after an extended period of time, the leo's digestive track can become clogged up, this is called "impaction". Most hobbyist's reccomend using tiles, paper towels, reptile carpet to reduce impaction. Accessories within the tank can include fake leaves, rocks, branches and small bush's/ferns. Purchasing these items new can cost up to $300 including the animal. Purchasing these items used can cost up to $200 including the animal.
The Adrian Gecko deck is a deck of cards found in the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card set. Some of the cards include monster support and anti monster support cards.
You'll need to be more specific about what you mean by "pond habitat".
iCal is a fantastic calendar program, which allows you to set appointments and tasks. It is also free with Snow Leopard!
Geckos are not domesticated animals. They cannot be "tame" to listen to your every command. They are able to become more socialable with their owners. A gecko that is handled more often will usually become more socialable. They will also learn your scent, your voice and will even grasp the feeding routines. They will even know the time the lights go on and off.
it matters what type of gecko as crested geckos and day geckos are arboreal which means they live in trees so the vivarium must be taller than wide and if you want to by a leopard gecko they are terrestrial meaning they live on the ground and have a completely different set up. crested geckos will need a more humid vivarium as they live in rain Forrest's. they will need enrichment like branches and leaves in their enclosure to simulate their natural environment and they are mostly fed on live invertebrates such as crickets and locusts. although it is tempting to feed them in their viv it is advised to take them out and feed them with tweezers to prevent them thinking your food when trying to handle them. unlike many other reptiles geckos are nocturnal with the exception of the day gecko and they do not require uvb lamp i am up sure about the needs for a day gecko but its mostly the same. leopard geckos will require a longer viv and the substrate can be different such as calcium sand the environment will rarely need spraying as they come from a dessert but they still require enrichment such as logs to hide under. they eat the same food as the other geckos and are mostly fed outside the enclosures.
