There's no easy way to tell. If you don't know the hatch date yourself and the person who sold it to you is unsure as well, there are only rough guidelines to use.

my leopard gecko has also stopped eating and she is pretty old too so I think this might be the case. 19 is fairly old for a leopard gecko to live.

I would say somewhere by 8/12 month's possibly more depending on the leopard gecko.
When a leopard gecko feels threatened it loses its tail. The tail still moves because it has nerve endings in it, and will distract the enemy while the leopard gecko gets away. Eventually the leopard gecko will grow a new tail but it will not be as pretty as its old tail. It will grow back in a "light bulb" shape instead of sleek and straight.
Leopard geckos are nearly impossible to sex when they are young. When they are about a year old, you can tell by looking at two things. Their head: males have a broad head, and females have narrow heads Their private area: males have visible pores
If properly cared for, any Leopard Gecko can live up to 20 years.

Can start feeding them mealworms immediately. Leopard gecko really like crickets, so if crickets are always available do not expect them to eat many mealworms.

Leopard gecko feet turn black due to a natural process called shedding, where old skin is replaced with new skin. The black coloration is a result of the shedding process and is temporary.
