How do you defend your self from spitting cobrs?

A full-coverage protective faceplate would seem to make sense. Or simply avoid the critters, completely. This is advice that Marlin Perkins should have taken. He survived his attack, but only because the had the anti-venin (Not anti-venom) right there at the St Louis Zoo.
