Snakes don't actually have external ears - they pick up sound by picking up vibrations from there tongue and there body. Some species of snakes have better senses than others.

= i think snakes don't use tongue to hear but to taste the air using the Jacobson's organ at the roof of it's mouth.

snakes hear low frequency sounds using it's body.

In the conventional sense of hearing, snakes cannot hear at all. They cannot perceive sound traveling through the air as they do not have ears. However, they can perceive vibrations in the ground through their bones and particularly their jaws. This sense can be very acute.

Although pythons lack an external ear or ear drum, their skin and bones pick up vibrations and transmit them to a functional inner ear.
