Offer your juvenile tokay crickets on a daily basis. As many as they will consume in one sitting. Mine will usually eat 4. Adult tokays should be offered crickets every other day as many as will be consumed in one feeding. I have read some report theirs will eat as many as 10 when full grown.
I offer mine waxworms twice a week. Wax worms are high in fat content. They should be fed no more then twice a week. On the nights I feed waxworms, I do not feed crickets.
If it is a young leopard gecko you should feed it about 2-3 small crickets every day. If it is an adult you should feed it about 3-4 large crickets every other day.
very small so that he wont choke
Can start feeding them mealworms immediately. Leopard gecko really like crickets, so if crickets are always available do not expect them to eat many mealworms.
You should feed a baby leopard gecko small insects like crickets or mealworms. Make sure the insects are smaller than the gecko's head to prevent choking. It's important to dust the insects with calcium and vitamin supplements to ensure the gecko gets the nutrients it needs to grow healthy and strong.
Leopard geckos are meat-eaters. NO FRUIT. Its best to feed your gecko insects like crickets : )
I would feed every other day; that's what I do for my leopard gecko. Make sure you provide a varied diet with crickets, mealworms, and a waxworms once or twice a week. Good Luck! ~Leopard Gecko Fan~
To feed a baby leopard gecko, offer small insects like crickets or mealworms dusted with calcium and vitamin supplements. Feed them every day and remove any uneaten insects to keep their enclosure clean. Make sure to provide a shallow dish of water for hydration.
An adult leopard gecko should be fed 3-5 appropriately sized feeders 3-4 times a week. A baby/juvenile should be fed 1-3 appropriately sized feeders, daily.
no you cannot. it would kill them VERY easily. i reccomend fedding your Lepoard gecko meal worms and crickets
You do not have to feed your leopard gecko just crickets, you can feed your leopard gecko mealworms as a main staple of the diet also. You can also feed your leopard geckos waxworms as a treat, you want to be stingy with these because your leopard gecko can get addicted to the waxworms and not eat anything else. Hope I helped! They will eat just about any small insect when hungry, care should be taken to ensure that they are not able to eat any poisonous insects. Spiders are generally fine, but eating certain caterpillars are most definitely not good for geckos - or any other lizard.
Sorry they do not eat ANY vegetables. They are insectivores, meat eaters, so feed them crickets. As treats give them meal worms, wax worms, and/or super worms.
It depends on how old the Leopard Gecko is... Say it was born as a baby maybe about 1 or 2 small crickets every day. When older start putting more in there... Like 3 or 4 so on and so fourth... And if you buy a whole bunch Of food (Crickets) It is only natural for them to die.. What I have found out in my experience, Crickets stay alive longer if u put a Hardly Damp Cotton Ball Where u keep your Crickets. And I HIGHLY recommend you don't keep The Crickets in the bag when you buy them at a Local Pet Store..
