There are many predators that seek sea turtle eggs. A turtle lays approximately 30 eggs at one time. If a predator gets those eggs then there is little chance any will survive. If the nest is untouched and unharmed about 20 to 25 will survive and about 15 actually make it into the ocean. Of those 15 ten get eaten before they grow up and 3 get killed by humans so only 2 usually grow up to reproduce.
