How smart is a crocodile?

Crocodiles are smarter than other reptiles because of the proportions of their brains. Snakes, for example have very large areas of the brain devoted to sensory information- in other words, their brains are specialized in receiving information with relatively small areas of the brain for processing information. Crocodiles, meanwhile, have larger areas of the brain devoted to processing the information they recieve than other reptiles, and even a number of mammals.
