I can't tell if my ball python is a male or female?

^^^ This is not true. With ball pythons the females heads are always bigger and wider, and males have bigger spurs.

The only accurate way to determine the sex of a ball python is to probe it. It is recommended that a veterinarian perform this procedure. These two horns you see are known as anal spurs. Both males and females have them so it is not a determining feature. However, males typically have larger spurs than females, but without a snake of known gender you have nothing to gauge against. Also, males typically have longer tails from the point at which it begins to taper while females have stubbier tails.
