Beardies are pretty smart little lizards and really seem to enjoy human contact. take him for walks on a harness or buy him some toys. Mine seems to enjoy playing with a ping-pong ball, lol. I watch TV with him, and take him around the city with me on my shoulder. If you have any apple products like an iPod or iPad, buy the game "ant crusher" and see how good he is at it! Eventually with time they will learn their own name and with treats given sometimes will learn to do simple tricks like shaking hands and coming when called :) Its not as easy as training a dog but beardies really are the best for that sort of thing since they are intelligent and unlike most monitors and other highly intelligent reptiles, seem to have an unusual love of people. Good luck and good choice as for lizards!if you get into collecting reptiles try Chinese/Australian water dragons or blue tongue skinks <3
The ONLY water a Bearded Dragon needs - is for DRINKING ! They are a DESERT species - they don't need to be bathed - or have water to 'play' in !
It usually means that he sees something that interests him, or that he feels a little claustrophobic. Bearded dragons also love climbing up terrarium walls, to get more heat. (And just to have fun) If he is a male or female, it doesn't matter. It depends on his health and how big his terrarium is. Hop this helped! :)
Well, you can play with them. Overall, they might be a bit boring, because they like to bask in the sun. But you can walk them, play with them, stroke them, and feed them, and it is really fun. Answer sent in by: Brevityman

They can dig for various reasons; laying eggs, to burrow into the sand to sleep/cool down, or simply for fun. They also may be digging for bugs or water, but I'm not an expert.
Yes they are in some ways but not in others snakes and beardies are both reptiles which are both cold blooded. They both eat vermin's such as mice and even little hamsters. Bearded dragons have a lot more character and are a lot more expensive! snakes are fun but can not be handled after there feeding and they swallow there food whole. They both need heat and both live in warm countries they are also both great pets but when you think about it nothing alike.
It depends. A talking bird would be more, well, talkative, while a beardie would be more fun/easier to play with (actually, i depends on the size of the bird)
i got a bearded dragn a few days ago and he is really easy to care for and he loves attention i heard leapord geckos are nocturnal so they sleep during the day and that wont be much fun so i will go for the beardie
