Some species of gecko thrive in a hot and dry environment, where temperatures can exceed 100F. These areas are usually covered in sand and rocky surfaces with minimal shrubs and greenery. Other species of gecko can live in a tropical environment with extremely high humidity and moderately warm temperatures. These areas can vary between 70-100F (including the humid ex). There are also species of gecko that are cave dwelling animals that have adapted vision and claws in order to survive in these extreme environments.
