Turtles hibernate in the winter. They bury themselves deep in the mud and stay there until spring comes.
Snapping turtles typically have an incubation period of 9-18 weeks, depending on factors such as temperature and humidity. During this time, the nest temperature can influence the gender of the hatchlings.
Snapping turtles are most active during the warmer months, typically from late spring to early fall, when temperatures are higher. They tend to be more active during the day, especially in the early morning and late afternoon, as they search for food and bask in the sun. During colder weather, they become less active and may hibernate or remain dormant at the bottom of ponds or lakes.
Well their incubation or gestation is about 3-6 months. As far as I now!!!!!
It depends what species the turtle is. When I had a baby snapping turtle I only kept it for a couple months and I fed her turtle food from walmart I dont really know if adult or teen adolescent turltes can eat it or not.

Loggerhead turtles come ashore to lay eggs once per year, usually during the summer months.

Turtles can actually hold their breath up to 3 to 5 months. In the winter turtles hibernate under the waters mud.
